Anyone who would like to participate in our Voter Circle outreach program, please bring your laptop and we will get you signed up. It should take about 30 minutes. Drop by or hang out.

Voter Circle is a new tool that allows our supporters to introduce our campaign to their contacts who are on the voter file.

It’s been proven to be highly effective at bringing in new primary voters and winning races even when the opponent is better funded. RSVP here

Campaign hires day-to-day Campaign Manager

June 15, 2017 – The campaign is excited to announce the hiring of Billy Poer as day-to-day Campaign Manager of Jana Lynne Sanchez for US Congress.

Billy is a long time organizer in the DFW area who got his start on the Wendy Davis campaign working with Battleground TX. Most recently, he organized for the reelection of Miguel Solis to the Dallas School Board and organized in Citrus County, FL on the Hillary Clinton coordinated campaign.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of North Texas and is currently enrolled in a Master’s of Political Management at George Washington University in DC.

His responsibilities will include handling day-to-day campaign operations, most importantly, fundraising. He will also be assisting our Director of Field Operations, oversee earned media, and strategy implementation. This is our second, full-time staff hire to augment our team of dozens of committed volunteers who run everything from PR, digital media, digital outreach events and of course canvassing and phone banking.

Sanchez for Congress appoints Director of Field Operations

The campaign is pleased to announce we are launching our field operations with the appointment of our first full-time paid staff, Director of Field Operations, Rebeca Ornelas.

Rebeca is a veteran of numerous Tarrant County campaigns, including those of State Representative Ramon Romero, Fort Worth City Councilman Salvador Espino, and candidate for Fort Worth City Council Carlos Flores.

Rebeca will be responsible for Community Outreach developing and implementing our voter ID, door knocking and phone banking activities. She will also be helping coordinate campaign events.

She will work alongside a large group of dedicated volunteers.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science from Texas Wesleyan University.

We are launching our walking program next week. We will be out walking five days a week – the candidate and volunteers – meeting voters. Please contact Rebeca to join us.

Campaign manager, day-to-day operations sought (full-time, paid)

We are looking for a day-to-day campaign manager with experience having worked on several Democratic congressional races in Texas or the South.

Job responsibilities include: oversight and execution of fundraising (digital and traditional), media relations, field operations (managing a paid field ops staff person, who will run this), digital media, and liaising with consultants. This is not primarily a strategy position, but an execution role.

You will also be responsible for managing a team of highly-committed and experienced volunteers in areas including digital communications, volunteer coordination, scheduling, VAN administration, fundraising, events etc.

This is a full-time job based here in the district. Start date July 1.

Please have a four-year degree and about two to four years experience.

We are hiring – please share widely!

Field Operations Director – We are looking for someone to run our field operations and community outreach. This is a paid, preferably full-time position. The person should have a University degree, be a good communicator, and have previously worked on 1-2 Democratic or progressive campaigns.

Tarrant County knowledge is especially useful, as is knowledge of VAN. Prefer a Spanish speaker with knowledge of Hispanic communities in District 6.
